CASE STUDIES
After NDI performed Argosy's inspection, it was noted that the vinyl floatation liners and expansion joints were due for replacement. We changed out the liners under the concrete barge and replaced the expansion joints throughout the basin floor and walls to prevent further water loss.
Due to flood damage, the NDI team had to remove 60,000 lbs of debris from the bow, and the space between the boat and river bank. Afterwards, we hydraulically dredged under the passenger walk way to enable the ramps to adjust with the river level.
As Lake Michigan’s water recedes back to its normal level, many of the fixed piers needed to be readjusted. The NDI team had to remove all the piers from the affixed pilings and raised. Once it was fixed, the piers were welded back to the pilings.
